Even More Kerb Appeal for This Large Family Home
Built in the sixties, this large, four-bedroom home in Flackwell Heath has been the home of the Bargents for over 50 years.
Background
Despite a few minor refurbishments, the property has changed very little over the years – a testament to how well homes were constructed back then. However, the Bargents had recently purchased a new car so the old garage doors had to go.
Don Bargent explained: “We’ve been happy with the old doors for a long time but after buying our new car, they were too narrow. We were also getting a bit tired of lifting the old ones up and down too, so realised electric garage doors were the perfect choice.”

The Products
The Bargents already had an idea of the garage doors they wanted but visited our showroom to view them in person.

The customers wanted to conserve the space inside his garages, so Hörmann RollMatic seemed like a good fit. The RollMatic provides plenty of space in front of and inside your garage, as there is no ‘overlap’ like in more traditional designs. This allows you to drive straight up to the door to park and frees up your garage ceiling for more space if needed.
As mentioned previously, the garage doors also had to be automated and RollMatics come electrically operated as standard. The motor drive is located externally for easy maintenance, and operation is very smooth. The two-year warranty was another appealing factor, which led to the Bargents choosing SWR.
The Installation
The customer and SWR arranged a home visit to measure up the garage doors and provide a quote. This service is free of charge with no obligation to buy the product after the quote. They were happy with the price and an installation date was arranged.
SWR’s trained fitters installed two garage doors on time and within the original quote. The fitters had no room for error, as the dimensions given were very specific to make use of the maximum space available.
